Wijbrand ( Wes ) Seffinga
Suddenly at the Kingston General Hospital on Friday May 14th, 2021. Wes Seffinga age 68 years of Athens. Beloved husband of JoAnne Seffinga (nee Kelsey). Dear father of Emory Seffinga (Ashley) of Ottawa, Kendra Soule (Jeremy) of Ottawa, Shannon Clarke (Matthew) of Kingston and Cari Seffinga of Athens. Loving grandfather of Julian, Logan, Malcolm, Melody and Lily. Brother of Jeff of Hamilton, Grace Dikland (Jack) of Morrisburg, Ann and Andrew Seffinga both of Athens, Sylvia Seffinga (Dan) of Sudbury and Edward Seffinga (Joanne) of Kingston. Predeceased by his parents, John Seffinga and the former Theresa Dykstra. Also survived by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Velma & Allen Kelsey, and sisters-in-law, Dianne Beach (Blair), Donna Kelsey, Janet Gooch (Rick) and Kay Bradley. Predeceased by a brother-in-law, David Kelsey. Wes will be sadly missed by numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid restrictions, cremation will take place and a Grave-side Service will be held at Glen Elbe Cemetery at a later date. In memoriam’s to the Athens Food Bank or the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
