It is with deep sadness we announce the
passing of Wayne O. Langille, age 77, of
Springhill, NS. Wayne passed away at home, peacefully,
surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, September 25,
2021.
Born in Springhill, NS, he was a son of
the late Osborne and Beulah (Fraser) Langille.
Wayne worked with Correctional Services
Canada for 32 years as an officer and later a stationary engineer; an
expert marksman, he represented CSC for many years at national
competitions.
Wayne was extremely active his entire
life. He loved spending time outside, either in the woods,
on the water, on the ice, or on the golf course. While cross
country skiing, he often had his girls in tow; on the back of a bike,
or crewing the sailboat.
Wayne is loved and will be forever
missed by his wife of 54 years and best friend Diane (MacDonald),
Springhill; daughters Kim Langille (Ben Surette), Fall River, Krista
Langille, Springhill; grandchildren Ryann and Ronan Surette; sister in
law Marion MacDonald, Springhill; as well as nieces, nephews, and
extensive family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was
predeceased by sister Joy (Harold) Hall and brother in law Robert
MacDonald.
Arrangements are under the care and
guidance of A H Brown Funeral Home, 5
McFarlane Street, Springhill, NS (902-597-2361). In keeping
with Wayne’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will
be no visitation or funeral at this time.
