Ben is survived by his wife, Renee Volman (Snowdon) formerly of England; his children, Rick (Janet) Volman of Sherwood Park, AB Audrie Schell of Hamilton, Ont.; and Ben (Jenny) Volman of Calgary, AB., Bep Kampes, mother to Rick, Audrie and Ben. His step-children; Phil (Tavaine) Snowdon of Edmonton, AB. Bradley Snowdon of Edmonton, AB., Patrick Snowdon of Edmonton, AB.
Grandchildren; Dayna Schell (Audrie), Mercedez Snowdon (Phil), Portia Snowdon (Phil), Sheadon Snowdon (Phil), and Zachary Volman (Ben).
Ben was born in Oosterbeek, Holland, July 13, 1934 to Gesina and Johannes Volman. Ben is on of four children. Sisters; Dini (deceased), Bep and Ada reside in Holland. He was married to Bep Kampes in 1957 and came to Canada that same year. He spent his working years in finance as Credit Manager.
Ben is also fondly remembered by the staff and residents of Millennium Pavilion Senior’s Lodge in Edmonton.
