Vernon’s Obituary
Purdy, Vernon Ernest – 79, Wallace Station, passed away May 12, 2021, at home. Born in North Wallace he was a son of the late William and Kathleen (Gould) Purdy. Vernon had worked as a welder for most of his life and traveled extensively throughout North America. He was a member of Local 56; and a member of the Wallace Men’s Club. Surviving are his wife, Doris (Gullon) Purdy; children, Patricia, Wallace Station; Andrew, Truro and Arden (Lisa Porteous), Debert; grandchildren, Robi-Lynn MacInnis, Ryan MacInnis, Abella Purdy and Adleigh Purdy; brothers, Terry, Tatamagouche and Kirk (Janice), Lower Sackville. Several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers, Donald and Lester; sister, Gail Thompson. There will be no services at this time. A graveside service will be announced and held at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
