Verna Blanche MacKenzie
1924-2021
The death occurred at the Drew Nursing Home, Sackville, NB on
Tuesday, January 19, 2021 of Verna Blanche MacKenzie, of Sackville age
96, wife of the late Charles H. MacKenzie. Verna was born on Sept. 5,
1924 in Knutsford, PEI, daughter of the late Marcus and Amanda
(Robinson) Gay.
Loving mom to Glen (Brenda), Sackville, NB and Allan
(Katrin), Calgary, AB. Dear grammy to Natasha MacKenzie (Shawn
MacDonald), Sackville; Sarah (Richard) Healey, Regina (Mason) Leuty,
Caytlan MacKenzie (Freddy), all of Calgary and her great grandchilden
Jaden, Hayley, Livia, Mya, Charley, Timber, Peyton and
Wyatt.
Sister in law to Margaret MacMillan and Lila MacKenzie. Verna
is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents, step mother Blanche (Robinson)
Gay, husband Charles, infant brother Everett, and step brother Willard
Gay.
Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel,
O’Leary. By Family requestion cremation will take place with
completion arrangements at a later date when restrictions ease
due to Covid 19.
