We sadly announcing the passing of Velma Lillie Parker in Vernon, BC on July 3, 2021. Val, known by many as Gram was a very strong, caring, independent lady and beloved by so many. She was widowed at 53, but she kept going in life. Several years later she raised her granddaughter. She worked hard and would drop everything if her family needed her. She is survived by her granddaughter Carmen (Al) Jaster, great-grandchildren Kadence and Jamieson, daughter Lorna (Barry) Cox, grandsons Bruce and Neil and great-granddaughter Josephine. Velma was predeceased by her husband Lyle (1981), daughter Cathy and son John (2019). At 92 years old Val survived hard times, tragic deaths of her husband in 1981 and two children in 2019 and a global pandemic. Forever loved and always remembered.
