Obituary of Valerie Frances Miller
It is with great sadness the family of Frances “Valerie” Miller announces her passing on Wednesday April 21, 2021 at her residence.
Val will be lovingly missed by her children, Rob and Karen O’Reilly, Lori and Bruce Drury, Sandy and Colin Briant, Kathleen and Dave Nutt, Steve and Glenda O’Reilly and step daughter Joan Miller.
Val was cherished by her sister Judy McCallum and her husband Stu, her sister Penny Coulter, her brother Daniel Lay and his wife Sue.
Loved dearly by her grandchildren James, Mat, Tyler, Elliot, Laura, Gord, Corrie, Josh, Rebecca, Sam, Jessica and Danielle.
Val was great grandmother to Claire, Charlotte, Fiona, Madyson, Carter, Tate, Kai, Nicole, Kim, Lucas and Evelyn.
The loving relationships with her children, grandchildren, siblings and her many nieces and nephews were among the greatest joys of her life.
Valerie was predeceased by her dear mother Frances Lay and her beloved husband Ian Miller.
Val was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and raised her 5 children in British Columbia (where heart remained)
and Ontario with the loving support of her mother and many family members.
Val was a devoted and esteemed employee of Cuddy Farms for 20 years where she flourished in her work life and built enduring friendships.
Val was an voracious reader and a socially conscious person. She gave generously to numerous charities and devoted many years of volunteer service to the London Public Library, LHSC and Junior Acheivement.
Special thanks to Val’s care team at Chartwell for their kindness and compassion.
A celebration of her life will occur when her loved ones can once again gather together.
