Peacefully entered into rest at her home on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, Valarie MacDonald (nee Ostrander) of Cherry Valley died at the age of 64. She was the daughter of Mary Ostrander (nee Norton) of Cherry Valley and the late Leland Ostrander and was the cherished wife for 39 years of Allan. Val was the beloved mother of Ali MacDonald of Bloomfield, John Henry (Mallory Walsh) of Ottawa, and Maggie MacDonald of Picton. She is survived by her sisters Cindy Ostrander of Cherry Valley, Julie Brownson (Tim) of Northport and her brother Brad Ostrander (Jenn) of Belleville and Val will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. MacDonald is resting at the Whattam-Hicks Funeral Home, 33 Main Street West, Picton (613-476-2450). A Private Memorial Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated in the Church of St. Gregory the Great, 7 Church Street, Picton on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at 11 am followed by Inurnment Cherry Valley Cemetery.
