Thomas Ralphs
Passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 in his 68th year.
Loving husband of Joan. Loving dad of James (Jackie), Jessica (Adam), Michael and Gabrielle. Loved grandpa of Ryley, Madison, Mackinley, Reese and Edison. Dear brother of Richard (Deborah), Catherine (Richard), Kim (Larry) and Karen (Lee). Tom will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
Tom lived a big life, and everything he did, he did to his very best. He was a bold businessman; met many friends and had many successes throughout his decades in sales. He took great pride in working hard and taking care of his family. A handyman by all accounts, he was always eager to challenge himself and take on a new project around the house or in the yard.
Tom created a life for himself that he loved every day. He rode his Harley to and from work as soon as weather allowed and if he wasn’t out on a joyride on the weekend, he was working up a sweat in the backyard. Most evenings Tom could be found sitting on the deck, cold beer in hand, as he admired his work and daydreamed about what he would tackle next.
He loved the outdoors and relaxing in nature, whether he was fishing, canoeing, golfing, or just flipping steaks on the BBQ.
Tom was a man of many talents, but his cooking took top shelf. He had a passion for good food and fine wine and spent most nights cooking or grilling an extraordinary meal to be enjoyed with his family and a nice bottle of wine.
What he loved, he loved immensely, and we are so fortunate to have been a part of his life.
The last year was a difficult one, as he fought an unknown disease that was finally diagnosed as Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease.
Visitation will be held at Drury Funeral Centre, 519 Victoria St. E., Alliston on Saturday, June 19, 2021 from 1 p.m. until time of private family service at 3 p.m. For those who wish, donations in Tom’s name may be made to Matthew’s House Hospice in Alliston.
*Please note due to COVID-19 restrictions all guests must email druryfc@bellnet.ca to reserve a time for visitation. The schedule visitation times are; 1, 1:30, 2, and 2:30 p.m followed by a private family invitational service at 3:00p.m. For those not in attendance please follow the Zoom information below.*
