It is with great sadness, but in celebration of a life well lived, we announce the peaceful passing of Theresa May Owen on March 17, 2021 at the age of 94. She was a loving and devoted wife of the late Stanley (1999). Precious Mom of Linda (Roy) Pillon, Judy Renaud, Douglas (Elaine) Owen, Paul (Brenda) Owen, Patricia Renaud and Susan (Pat) Pillon. Treasured Grandma to 16 and cherished Great Grandma to 20 and one on the way. Dear sister to Sister Phyllis Paquette, predeceased by Loretta (Allan) Bondy, Lucille (Phillip) Martin, Marie (Gerry) Coyle, Donald Paquette and sister-in-law Joyce Girard. Survived by in-laws Joan Paquette and Dick Girard.
Mom enjoyed baking and was known for her delicious butter tarts, pies and chocolate chip cookies. Mom always looked forward to a good game of cards, playing bingo and going to the Casino. Mom had fond memories of roller skating on Bob-Lo and 5 pin bowling at the Brunner Mond Bowling Alley. She had a green thumb and took pride in her plants. She enjoyed camping and spending time with her family. Her love of music included singing, playing the piano, the harmonica, whistling, line dancing and performing in Cabarets. Friends and family enjoyed her sense of humour and joke telling.
Mom was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, the Resurrection Choir, CWL, Aquabelles, the Golden Age and LaSalle Friendship Clubs.
A special thank you to the wonderful staff on 3W at Richmond Terrace for their dedicated care and compassion.
Mom’s greatest source of pride was her family. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
