It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Sylvio H. Jean on Monday, April 26th, 2021 at Health Sciences North at the age of 85 years. Son of the late Eugene Jean and late Laura Jean (née Beaulieu). Beloved husband of 63 years of Rita Jean (née Giroux). Loving father of Michel, Nicole Cadger (Norm), Denis predeceased in 2004 (Margaret). Dear brother of Armand (Margaret), Lorraine Finn, Gérald (Nicole). Sylvio will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Kyle Jean (Carrie), Shane Cadger (Eryn), Amanda Jean (Kyle) and Tara Gélinas (Jérémie) as well as his 7 great grandchildren Alexie, Jacob, Wyatt, Carter, Cameron, Enzo and Amia. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was a very proud and involved member of the Knights of Columbus having achieved many milestones and positions including his upper most achievement of former Master in Ontario District 3. The family would like to thank the nursing staff and doctors who took care of him in the last 4 weeks. The family will receive guests and friends by scheduled visitations on Friday, April 30, 2021 at the Cooperative Funeral Home. A service will be available by livestream Click Here in the Chapel following visitation. Donations can be made by cheque or online to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Alzheimer’s Society.
