Obituary for
Susanne «Susan» MacRae (LeBrasseur)
We regret to announce the passing of Susanne (LeBrasseur) MacRae on October 4th at the age of 69. Beloved wife to the late John MacRae and loving mother to Ravin Lee-Ann MacRae. She is predeceased by her parents Louise and Fernand LeBrasseur and her parents-in-law Kenneth and Kristina MacRae.
Survived by her brother Yvon LeBrasseur, and sisters Liliane Gendron (late Réal), and Elaine Ceal (Roy), by brothers- and sisters-in-law Paul MacRae (Julie), Heather Kamlah (Gord) and Hillard MacRae, as well as her nieces and nephews Caroline, Sylvie, Rachelle, Caleb, Grace, Marlene, Emily, John, Dylan, Dallas, Dustin, Jake and Zack. She will also be greatly missed by her uncles and aunts Claude Roy, Raymond Roy, Georgette Roy and Fay Villeneuve and by many cousins and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Sue was also loved by many friends (such as the ladies in the condo park where she lived and from her ladies bible study) and will be greatly missed by them.
Sue was the comic relief in our home growing up and liked to make people laugh. She was generous, a great cook, loved gardening, and had a beautiful singing voice. In the course of her life, she worked at various places in Timmins. She lovingly devoted her adult life to caring for her beloved daughter Ravin.
We’d like to thank all who made meals for Sue, drove her to her cancer treatments over the last two years and provided extra care for her at the hospital. Thank you to the many doctors, particularly Dr. Hopkins, and all the nurses, especially the hospice nurse Krissy, that administered care to Sue. Your gentleness, compassionate words and professionalism were much appreciated these past two years and especially during Sue’s stay in hospice.
Sue had made the decision to accept Jesus Christ as her Saviour and took great comfort in knowing that because of his great love for us, she would have eternal life with him in heaven. She is now resting peacefully in his arms.
John 3:16 – For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
In her memory, donations can be made to the First Baptist Church Food Bank. The family will receive friends for Susanne’s Celebration of life on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at the Timmins Memorial Cemetery (Columbarium #5) at 2 pm. The funeral arrangements are entrusted with the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
