REKTOR SSND, SISTER ANNE BEATRICE
Passed away peacefully surrounded by love on Monday, August 2, 2021 at Hospice Waterloo Region at the age of 86.
Dear daughter and 5th child of the late Frank and Emilia (nee Cmuchalek) Rektor.
Dear sister of Amy Rektor, Carl, Stanley (Marlene), Marion Rektor, Lillian Hildebrandt (Bruno), Larry (LeeAnn) and Joyce Dougherty (Art), sister-in-law to Theresa and Ruth and aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Sister Anne will be missed by her religious congregation, family and friends.
Predeceased by brothers Frank (2004), Joseph (2014), Edward (2012) and infant baby Joseph (1944).
Sister Anne took her vows as a School Sister of Notre Dame (SSND) Sister Mary Emily in 1954. She recently celebrated 67 years of Grateful Service to God as Teacher, Pastoral Minister and as a Minister of prayer and presence in the community.
Visitation will take place from 4-8 pm on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St. Kitchener 519-749-8467.
The Funeral Mass will take place at 11:30 am on Monday, August 9, 2021 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 49 Blueridge Avenue, Kitchener.
The graveside service will take place at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, 580 Old York Road, Burlington on Monday at 2:30 pm
