He will be remembered by his loving wife of 59 years, Mathilde; sons: Richard (Nicola) Huppertz, David (Vera) Huppertz; daughter: Jessica ((Lauren) Myshaniuk) Huppertz; grandchildren: Derek (Holly) Huppertz, Brett (Sierra Viola) Huppertz, Justin (April Pentelichuk) Huppertz, Sebastian Toews, Forrester Toews, and their father Peter Toews, Meghan Huppertz, Robin Huppertz; great-grandchildren: Conrad, Sophia, and Madeline Huppertz, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He was also survived by his sister, Juliana (Leo) Biggeman. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Wilhelm and Juliane Huppertz, son Patrick Huppertz and three brothers: Reinhold, Joseph and William Huppertz, and sister-in-law Annette Huppertz.
Siegfried was born February 25th, 1928 in Zweifel, Holland. In order to find a new start, he and his family left Holland and arrived in Canada in 1935. They finally decided to settle in the Westlock area and started farming. Siegfried, along with his family, worked very hard and it showed as the farm grew and prospered over the years. In December of 1962 he married Mathilde Buding and soon started a family.
Siegfried enjoyed life on the farm and working with his hands. Dealing with animals, fieldwork, repairs, whatever it was he approached it all with determination and innovation. If there was a job needed to be done and you didn’t have the right tool, well, you made one. And nine times out of ten he succeeded. He used this philosophy in a lot of his favorite pastimes which included: fishing, hunting, quadding, travelling or just good old-fashioned visiting. There are many home movies and photos of all the memories he made while enjoying these times with family and friends.
But his greatest memories were made with his best and brightest travelling companion, his wife Mathilde. No matter how far or where they were going, she was always by his side. Being loyal and true to each other they have been a wonderful role model of a loving couple to all of us. Husband, Father, Father-In-Law, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, Brother, Brother-In-Law, Uncle, you will be dearly missed. The family would like to thank the staff at the Pembina lodge and special thanks to Corey Mitchell and Rob Doblanko whom were always a shining beacon of hope and were always there for Dad.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made in Sigfried’s name to the Stollery Children’s Hospital, or you may plant a tree in his name.

Though his smile is gone forever
And his hand I cannot touch,
I still have so many memories
Of the one I loved so much.
His memory is now my keepsake,
Which with I’ll never part.
God has him in his keeping,
I have him in my heart.
Sadly missed, but never forgotten.
