CARD OF THANKS
It is with our sincerest gratitude that we share our thanks and praise to those family, friends and loved ones who helped out during the difficult time of the passing of our beloved Sidney; Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather.
For those who made phone calls, helped arrange the funeral service, offered words of support and encouragement, brought food, sent cards, messages, tributes and flowers please know that your gestures meant the world to us and we are very thankful to each and every one of you for showing your kindness at that difficult time.
To Reverend Norman Cutler for officiating a beautiful service, for the pallbearers assistance, church readers and staff from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, our heartfelt thanks goes out to you all for making Sidney’s service memorial and beautiful.
In memoriam we received many donations for the St. George’s Anglican Church Fund that was greatly appreciated by our family
We also want to again, send our heartfelt appreciation out to the staff at Bay St. George Long Term Care. Your care, professionalism and devotion to Sidney, and us his family, will forever be remembered with heartfelt gratitude.

We are broken-hearted to announce the passing of Sidney Ralph Robert Morris also known to his friends and family as “Bud”, age 92, who passed away peacefully April 5th, 2021 surrounded by his beloved wife Albertha and only son Wayne and partner Karen at the Bay St. George Long Term Care in Stephenville Crossing, Newfoundland.
Sidney was born on Oct 24th, 1928 to parents Ralph and Ada (predeceased). Sidney is survived and leaves to mourn with many precious memories; his loving and devoted wife of 67 years Albertha, his beloved and devoted Son Wayne (Karen), grand-daughters Ophelia and Rebecca (Stefano), great grandsons Matthew, Christopher, Luca and Marco, sisters Maxine Meade and Joan Miller (Lowell) and brothers Joe (Sylvia) and Kevin (Janet). He is predeceased by sisters Phyllis, Beulah, and Mabel and brothers William and Milton.
Sidney lived a full, happy and blessed life. He was passionate about gardening and loved hosting locals to have photos taken in front of his flowers. He loved telling jokes and silly diddies and was always happiest surrounded by his family. He was a warden for, St. George’s Anglican Church, Robinsons for many years. The church was very important to him. In his early years he worked for the Department of Highways and Transportation. Once retired, he loved spending his time hunting and fishing with his son Wayne, spending quality time with his two grand-daughters, and tending to his vegetable gardens and flower beds.
He will be deeply missed and forever loved in memory. Many thanks and appreciation to Bay St. George Long Term Care for their professional and personal care for Sidney and his family. As expressions of Sympathy, and in lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to St. George’s Anglican Church Memorial fund. A service will be held at St. George’s Anglican Church (by invitation only) Wednesday, April 7th, 2021 at 2:00 pm, to be officiated by Reverend Norman Cutler. Due to Covid 19 restrictions everyone must wear a mask, sanitize and sign in when entering the church.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing. Family guestbook may be signed at www.fillatre.ca
