FERES, Sheila Kathleen (nee Kelly)
The family of Sheila Feres is saddened by her passing on November 12, 2021, in her 89th year. Sheila was the devoted wife of the late Vincent S. Feres, for almost 59 years. Sheila’s incredible faith, eternal optimism, gentleness, and love of family are her legacy. She often said she was “rich in love and kids”!
Sheila was the loving mother of Kathleen Feres-Patry, Vince (Suzanne), Terry (Dan Massicotte), Connie (Bruce Dick), and John (the late Nancy). She was predeceased by her parents and all of her siblings. She was the cherished grandmother of Kristy (Darryl English), Jamie, Jonathan, Christopher (Robyn), Matthew (Rebecca), Kerri, Lindsay (Alec Vice), and Andrew, and very proud great-grandmother to Rylan, Everly, and Bowen English, Lennox Feres-Cameron, and Elliott Dick. Sheila is survived by the extended Feres and Kelly families and many friends.
Sheila met Vince, the love of her life, in her hometown of Toronto, and they married there in 1956. They moved to Eganville where they raised their family and lived for over forty years. Countless Feres and Kelly gatherings were enjoyed in Eganville and at the “Cozy Nest” cottage on Golden Lake.
Sheila was a faithful member of St. James the Less Parish in Eganville and, in her later years, Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Parish in Kanata. She was a member of the CWL for over 50 years.
Sheila obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree at the age of 59 years, and continued to read and learn daily. She cherished her time at the cottage, her pets, bird watching, knitting, reading, and a life rich in prayer and reflection. Most of all, Sheila loved spending time with her family.
