Sarjit Kaur Sidhu

1 février 2021
Sarjit Kaur Sidhu passed away peacefully on February 1st, 2021 at the age of 93.
Born on October 3rd, 1927 in Chak Dhothar, Punjab, she was the second eldest of 6 siblings. At the tender age of 12, Sarjit Kaur faced the unbearable loss of her mother, after which she embraced the role of a mother for her brothers and sisters; putting their needs before her own. This would later become a common theme in her life. In 1940, she married Karnail Singh Sidhu and became the respected matriarch of both the Dhothar and Sidhu family. In 1957, she moved to the United Kingdom with her husband and only son, Gorpal Singh. There she effortlessly embraced her new life in the western world. In 1981, Sarjit Kaur retired from her position with British Airways and immigrated to Canada, where she played a key role in the upbringing of her grandchildren as their “Beeji” (Grandmother).
A devoted wife, a loving mother, doting grandmother and great-grandmother. Sarjit Kaur will always be remembered fondly as the pillar of strength for her family. The family humbly requests that you honor her memory by emulating the fierce love and protection she showed each one of us.
Heartfelt gratitude from the Sidhu Family, to all the staff at CAMA Woodlands Nursing Home for the care and compassion tirelessly shown over the last 2 and a half years.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, you may donate to CAMA WOODLANDS in memory of Sarjit Kaur.
Thank you.
