Obituary
Sara Perez passed away at the Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga on May 14th 2021, at the age of 72. She was the beloved mother of Francis and Wendi, devoted grandmother to Gillian, Yvonne, Violet, Rebekah and Evan, and sister to Walter. She will forever be remembered as a kind and loving mother, grandmother and sister, whose doors were always open to friends and family. She was a wonderful cook who shared her love and passion of food with those she cared about – there was nothing that a bowl of arroz con pollo or caldito could not fix, especially when it was made with mami’s love. Sara will be dearly missed by all who knew and spent time with her. Mami, words cannot express our profound loss, we miss you so much already but know that you will be with us in our hearts forever. We hope that you are resting in peace and that you know that we will take everything you taught us to lead meaningful lives full of love and support for each other. Te queremos mucho!
We would like to take a moment to extend our thanks to Dr. Andrew Feifer and the team at Credit Valley Hospital who worked with our mom on her short but valiant battle with cancer. Your efforts are recognized and respected.
If inclined, a in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario – POGO, a charity Sara donated to annually in support of pediatric cancer. A private service will be held at Forest Lawn Mausoleum and Cremation Centre (4570 Yonge St, North York, ON M2N 5L6). Expressions of condolence may be left on the Tribute Wall on this web page.
