Curry (Fayad), Salme “Dico” Fatima – age 69 of Shubenacadie. It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Salme Curry at her home on July 7, 2021, following a long battle with cancer.
Salme was born in Reyes Beni, Bolivia.
She was predeceased by her mother, Eva; brother, Herman; sister, Leticia.
Salme is survived by her husband of 43 years, Richard, whose life has been changed for the better because of this wonderful loving lady; as well as a large number of extended family and friends.
For 23 years Salme touched the lives of many children and families at Smiles and Chuckles Children’s Centre in Stewiacke. She had a special connection with the children she cared for which lasted well beyond their years of daycare. She will be greatly missed by her many close friends with whom she shared both laughter and joy.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Many thanks to the VON workers who gave such wonderful care to Salme allowing her to remain in her home.
