It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Frederick Roy Stuckless announce his peaceful passing with his loving family by his side on Saturday, May 29th, 2021 at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL in his 70th year.

Fred was predeceased by his parents; Frederick and Florence Stuckless (nee Butt), stepfather; Frank Penny, siblings; Gordon Stuckless, Ted Stuckless, Ruby (Carl) O’Quinn, father and mother-in-law; Bert and Kate Samson (nee Saunders).

Fred leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories his loving wife of 47 years Jan Stuckless (nee Samson), children; Jay Stuckless of Port aux Basques, NL, Sara (Earl) Dowe of Turno, NS, four grandchildren; Julianne Dowe, Spencer Dowe, Kennedy Stuckless and Frederick Stuckless. Fred will forever remain in the hearts of his siblings; Annie (Gilbert) Vineham, Violet (Lloyd) Frampton, Juanita Griffin, Dorothy (Eric) Brake, Marion Stuckless, Arthur (Doreen) Stuckless, siblings-in-law; Gail (Nigel) Turner, Kent (Teresa) Samson, Crystal (Rob) Moyles, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and many many great friends.

Fred was a wonderful, kind, caring man who loved his family. He was a social butterfly and everyone knew him. He was a school teacher and in his pass time he was an avid hunter and loved fishing. He will be surely missed and never forgotten.

In Fred’s final days he wrote a special message that he wanted to share:
I’ve been fortune, and had a wonderful life and a beautiful family. Love each other and celebrate my life with joy and laughter is my wish and keep the good memories going. Have a swallie for me. Love Fred

In keeping with Fred’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no formal visitation or funeral service at this time.
