Obituary of Rosemary Ann Barwell
BARWELL, Rosemary – It is with sadness that the family of Rosemary Barwell announce her passing on Friday, October 8, 2021 at Northland Pointe at the age of 80 after a lengthy journey with dementia.
Rosemary was predeceased by her son Hugh Hamilton, her husband Joe Barwell and her parents John and Rose Thew. She was also predeceased by her brother-in-law Norval « Pork » Millett.
She leaves behind her son Bill Hamilton and his wife Pamela. Her daughter Doreen. Grandchildren Marci and Brian Sanko, and Connor and Erin Hamilton. Great grandchildren Cori and Brooklyn. She is also survived by her sister Gwen Millett, brother John Thew and his wife Bonnie, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and her dear friend Carol Madden.
Rosemary’s family would like to thank the dedicated staff of Northland Pointe for their compassion and exemplary care Rose received over the last 8 years.
Final arrangements have been entrusted to Davidson Funeral Home 135 Clarence St. Port Colborne. As per Rosemary’s wishes, cremation has taken place and her family will have a private service. The Alzheimer’s Society had been an invaluable support throughout this journey and, should anyone wish to make a donation in Rosemary’s memory, the family would be grateful.
