Rose Jean Cormier
1951-2021
TARGETTVILLE, NB – Rose Jean Cormier, 70, of
Targettville passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris Hospital on
Saturday, December 18, 2021. Born in Targettville, she was the
daughter of the late James and Bridget (McDermot) Roach. Before
retiring, Rose Jean worked as a teacher’s assistant for the
Rexton Elementary School.
Rose Jean leaves to mourn her loving husband, Ronald Cormier;
her four daughters, Tammy Cormier (Matthew) of Shediac, Tina Brownell
(Travis) of Moncton, Amber Cormier (Josh) of Moncton and Ashley
Cormier of Moncton; her son Joseph Cormier (Kristy) of Targettville;
as well as her four grandchildren, Isaac, Elizabeth, Khloe and
Kristian.
Rose Jean will also be sadly missed by her eight sisters,
Geraldine Meunier (late Hermas) of Moncton, Betty Despres (late Fred)
of Moncton, Norma McNairn (late Laurie) of Rexton, Bertie Parlee
(James) of Burlington, ON, Carmel Whalen (late James) of Molus River,
Joanne Murphy (late Howard) of Balla Philip, Theresa Bernard of Rexton
and Peggy Leger (late René) of Clairville; her two
brothers, Jimmy of Richibucto and Hughie (late Cathy) of Main River;
as well as by her many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Rose Jean was predeceased by her sister,
Ernestine Savoy and her five brothers, Urban, Tommy, Ivan, Raymond and
Mac.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A private
family service by invitation only will be held at a later
date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that you perform an
act of kindness towards someone or towards yourself in Rose Jean’s
memory.
Following provincial COVID-19 regulations, visitors will be
required to provide proof of double COVID-19 vaccination and
government issued ID at the funeral home, masks are mandatory and we
ask that social distancing is respected.
