Rose M. Hay, RN
1946 – 2021
Rose Mary Hay, RN, wife of James Hay of Napan, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Monday, March 1, 2021 at the age of 74
Born in Newcastle, on June 1, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Rosella (Flaherty) Hallihan. She was an R.N for almost 30 years and worked in many hospitals and nursing homes across the country. She was Catholic by faith.
She is survived by her husband, James Hay; one daughter, Melanie MacAulay (Michael) of Miramichi; one son, Devlin Hay of Napan; five grandchildren: Kristen, Ashley, Matthew, Reid and Lane; six great-grandchildren: Ryan, Mason, Landon, Maddison, Indica and Daytona; one sister, Mary-Alice Hooper (David) of Back Bay, NB; two brothers: John Hallihan (Glenna), and Dwain Hallihan (Kathy) all of Renous, NB; one aunt, Josie Boyd of Miramichi; and one uncle, Floyd Flaherty of ON. She was predeceased by her parents, and two brothers: Patrick and Earl.
There will be no visitation by request. A PRIVATE Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Michael’s Basilica with Father Dass as Celebrant.
