COLLINS: Ronald Irwin – It is with great sadness the family of Ron Collins of Bolsover, in his 86th year, passed away at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie, on Wednesday September 1, 2021. Ron Collins was the beloved husband of Lois (Metherel) Collins and loving father of Nancy (David Medeiros) and cherished grandfather of Christopher Arsenault. Predeceased by his sister Carole Lindsay and brothers Bernard Collins and Doug Collins. Ron had a great love for hockey, watching the Toronto Maple Leafs and his grandson play hockey. Ron enjoyed having family and friends visit, putting model cars together and being at the water gave him the greatest pleasure. Ron will be dearly missed by family, nieces and nephews, friends and all who knew him. A celebration of life is being planned. Date and time to follow. If so desired memorial donations in memory of Ron to the Diabetic Association or the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
