It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our father and husband on December 15, 2021, at 80 years. Beloved husband of 53 years to Stella, loving father to Sharon, Warren (Tammy), and Cheryl (Steve), and adoring Papa to Ashna, Tristan, Ethan, Neeva, and Nevin. Lovingly remembered by his sister Rita (Baich), nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, and a large circle of friends. Predeceased by his parents Ramsook and Hilda (Isaacs), sisters Violet and Mayleen and, niece Cindy.
Romeo was born in Cumberland, Guyana, and immigrated to Canada in 1971. An enthusiastic traveler, he loved exploring the world visiting numerous countries. He encouraged his children to travel in order to appreciate how blessed they were to live in Canada. Dad was a passionate Toronto Blue Jays fan and watched almost every televised game or would be in the stands cheering them on. A devoted member of Faith Lutheran Church in Kitchener, Romeo was guided by his strong faith in God and his love for his family and friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. Eric Hentschel for his care of Dad for over 30 years. We would also like to recognize the doctors, nurses, and care teams on the 5th floor of Grand River Hospital and Innisfree House.
Romeo’s family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, December 19, 2021, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener. A private funeral service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church. Interment at Williamsburg Cemetery. Guests are required to RSVP for the visitation through the funeral home website or by calling 519-749-8467.
