Obituary of Roger Henry Martin
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our loving father Roger Martin. Roger passed away peacefully with his beloved daughter Hillary and his brother the Reverend Roy Martin at his side at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Center on July 20, 2021.
Roger will be deeply missed by his daughters Hillary, Andrea (Derrick) Karen (John), and Son Chris (Elizabeth). He will never be forgotten by his Grand Daughters Nicole, Megan, Kendra and Great Granddaughter Gwendolyn.
Roger was born In Windsor on Feb 16, 1947. He loved fishing, hunting and being outdoors. Some of his most fond memories were made with his family and friends at his beloved hunting cabin.
He was someone who loved to be around people which led him to a successful career in sales. He will be dearly missed by his many friends and coworkers at Thruway Recreation.
He was his family’s biggest encouragement and always wanted what was best for everyone. He raised his children with love and care and instilled confidence in them. His smile and gentle ease will be missed forever.
Visitation will be take place on Friday, July 23rd at Hoskins Funeral Home from 12:00 to 5:00 with COVID restrictions being followed.
The Funeral Service will be held at St. Albans Anglican Church on Saturday July 24th at 2:00 pm, invitation only. Interment to follow at St. Alban’s Anglican Cemetery. Flowers are accepted or donations can be made to the Corduroy Brook Enhancement Association.
