BLAND, Roger Russell
(July 28th, 1961- December 22nd, 2021)
Of Madoc, Ontario passed away in his 61st year peacefully on December 22nd, at the Heart of Hastings Hospice surrounded by family and close friends. Roger grew up in Whitby, Ontario and worked as an arborist and heavy equipment operator for the Town of Whitby. At age 55, he retired and fulfilled his dream of moving and owning a log home. Roger enjoyed working outdoors and took pride in his property, making maple syrup, kayaking, snowshoeing, fishing, walking his dogs, spending time with his wife, child and grandchildren. Roger will be dearly missed and always remembered.
Roger is survived by his wife of 37 years, Laura Bland, his daughter Jenny Dargie (Scott ), and his Grand children Aidan and Cameron. A celebration of life will be held in Roger’s honour as opposed to a traditional funeral service. The date is still to be determined at this time, but will be forwarded when decided so that we can join together in celebration of Roger’s beautiful life.
