Courageously, on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at home with family by his side, as per his wishes. Beloved husband of Ruth Wade “Peggy” for 60 years. Son of the late Celina (Gervais) and the late James McBride. Loving father of Shawn (Carol Burningham) and Colleen McBride. Proud grandfather of Kyle and Connor McBride. Survived by his sisters, Irene Taber (the late Edgar) of Ottawa, Josie Laframboise and Sheila Edwards (the late Richard) of San Diego. Predeceased by sister Doreen Richardson (Al) and brothers Philip (Geraldine) and Ken (Maureen). The family would like to extend a special thanks to the extensive palliative care team for their unwavering support over the past year. Friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street (at O’Connor) on Tuesday, October 12th from 3-6 pm and Wednesday, October 13th from 3-6 pm. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 153 Woodroffe Avenue, on Thursday, October 14 at 2 pm. Please register for both the visitation and/or Mass on the Funeral Home website.
