Obituary
Passed peacefully away surrounded by his family in the Palliative Care Unit at the Leonard A. Miller Centre on Thursday December 16th, 2021.
Predeceased by his loving wife Elizabeth; parents Maxwell & Evelyn Lane; sisters and brothers-in-law, June (Mike Feniak), Dawn (Stan Rice) & Barbara (Joseph LeBlanc).
Leaving to mourn his son; Rick, daughters; Dawn & Andrea (Chris) Harris and his four beloved grandchildren; Zachary & Stefanie Lane (mother Terri), Amy & Jayson Harris and puppy Kacy. Sisters in law; Barbara Fry and Frances (Garry) Hunt and their families as well as a large number of nephews, nieces, family and friends. Bob enjoyed his bowling, fishing, playing a game of cards and his Saturday’s with the boys at the stage. A special thank you to long time friends Catherine Waterfield and Don Baldwin for all your support over the last few months.
We would also like to thank the Doctors & nurses in the Palliative Care Program and Unit who helped make his last couple of days and months as comfortable as possible.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Sunday December 19th from 1-4pm and 6-9pm at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, St. John’s. Funeral service will be held on Monday December 20th at 11:00am from Barrett’s Chapel.
As per government of NL regulations, proof of vaccination is required to attend
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob’s memory can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
