Obituary of Robert Jowett
Peacefully, on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, Robert Wyndham Jowett passed away surrounded by loved ones after a long battle with cancer.
He is survived by his wife Heather (nee Kirkbride), his children: James (Ashley), Thomas (Jenn), Daniel (Sunny), John (Shelly), and Kathryn (Michael); his grandchildren: Brooklyn, Bentley, Xander, Taurian, Kristjan, and Robby; and his sisters: Barbara and Mary.
Robert was predeceased by his parents: John Jowett and Margaret Jowett (nee Whiteley).
Robert was born in Halifax, England on February 13, 1956. Robert and Heather married on May 8, 1982, and migrated to La Broquerie, Manitoba in the spring of 1993 with their family, leaving behind their 3rd generation dairy farm, and purchasing a farm in La Broquerie.
In 2000, The Jowetts purchased Country Meat and Sausage, and later expanded to include their deli in Steinbach. In recent years, the Jowetts opened their federal processing plant, Jowett Farms. Robert’s legacy will be kept alive through his children.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 28th, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. at the Jowett residence. As per Robert’s wishes, the family invites you to stay for a BBQ after the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Robert can be made to the Bethesda Foundation.
