McPherson, Robert Samuel
March 1, 1944 – January 23, 2021
It is with profound sadness the family of Robbie McPherson announce his passing. Dad was born to Eddie & Alec McPherson in Hamilton, Ontario and grew up with his siblings Jim, Michael, & Kitty on the family farm. He was married to Jacqueline Ross in 1964 and together they had 3 daughters – Victoria (Ron, their kids and families), Robin (and her kids), & Lori (Chris, their kids and families). Dad began working in the Oil Field in 1969 until 1988, taking on a profession that allowed him to travel the world. Those were his happiest years. After moving back to Canada, Dad took on being an owner/operator of a delivery truck until 2008 where upon he retired. Moving to Radisson, SK to be closer to family, Dad spent his final years sitting in his favorite chair looking out the window and “watching the world go by” and continuously saying “I’ve had had a good life”. He enjoyed visits with family and would talk to anyone that would talk back. When he started a conversation with “Did you know….” you knew you were there for a while. One of his favorite past times the last few years was trying to figure out “why”, “why is this this way and not this way?” He had a continuous analytical thought process right up until shortly before his passing. The Family would like to thank the Nurses and Doctors on 5th & 7th floor at St. Paul’s Hospital who had been part of Dad’s care for the last number of weeks. Per Dad’s wishes there will be no service. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to a charity of your choice.
