Westover- Robert Harry James
It is with great sadness that we are announcing the passing of Robert at the St.Catharines General Hospital on December 19, 2021 at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Sharon (nee McIlvride), Father of David and Darryl (Karen) and Grandfather of Jaqueline, Meggean (Craig), Katelynne (Cory) and Christynne. Dear Brother of Marie, Marsha (Ray) and Marlene (Robert). He is predeceased by his parents Robert and Margaret Westover, his son Daniel (2018), Daughters-in-law Stephanie Penfound (1998) and Debbie Byrnes (2021), his grandson Jackson James (2005) and many Aunts and Uncles. Robert retired from General Motors in 2000 and was a proud member of the Masons since 1967 (54 years). The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses from the Greater Niagara and St.Catharines Hospitals for all the care they provided for Robert. At his request cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Davidson Funeral Home, 135 Clarence Street, Port Colborne. If desired, kindly make a memorial donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or the Parkinson Foundation.
