Rick Sedore 2021

Obituary of Rick Sedore
Sedore, Richard Lloyd
October 7, 1965 – April 12, 2021
It is with deep sorrow we announce the death of « Rick ». He passed away peacefully in his sleep. Rick suffered from a chronic illness brought on by addiction. He fought hard to beat it and with the constant struggle with restrictions caused by COVID he lost the battle, and the damage was just too severe. He was a private man that loved his family. He leaves behind his wife Shirley, « His Amazing Boys » Samuel and Alexander, siblings Kelly, Sandra and Donna. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and great great ones. He also was loved by his cousins and will be fondly remembered by Aunt Tootsie. Rick was a huge hockey guy that truly loved the game and coached at many levels over the years. At Rick’s request there will not be a funeral and he will be cremated. Rick was also a longtime employee at Unilock here in Georgetown. We ask that donations please be made to CAMH or the local Addiction & Mental Health organization in your area. Special mention to the amazing team formed to help make his end of life so special by taking care of him, encouraging him and helping to prepare him. A big thank you to the amazing staff at St. Joseph’s Palliative Care in Guelph and to Dr. Jeff McKinnon.
The following is taken from the Facebook page « If You Grew Up In Georgetown… » posted by Don Fendley back in February.
