July 15, 1982 – December 25, 2021
On this Christmas, 2021, we lost a beloved son, brother, and friend to so many. Rick was 39, and has left behind an unimaginable void in the lives of those that loved him, and even to the end, saw him as woven into the fabric of all that was special and great in their lives. It’s hard to find an important moment or memory where Rick wasn’t there.
Born to Richard and Carmette Oswald. Brother to Nikki (Joe) Rogers and Lindsay Wood. Revered as “Uncle Beetz” by Cline, Carmen, Joey, Chelsea, Jacob, and Johnny. Nephew to Jim (Marg), Nadja, Carol, and Christine (Bruce) Lepere, and Bob, Judy, and Joey Oswald. Cousin to Jenn (John) Lapierre, Lorraine (Kevin) Mlot, Aimee and Jill (Shannon). Rick was also blessed with many close companions and brothers who loved him. John Duffy and family, Justin Vaillancourt and family, Dale Romanuk, Sal Mazzarelli, only to name a few, as well as his loving girlfriend Nicole Serra.
Rick was a co-owner of Cannon-Greco Property Management in St. Catharines, and was actively involved in the Niagara community through his years with the Fallsview Hose Brigade. He was also a man of many hobbies and passions that will never truly be the same for those he shared them with. We will miss you Ricky, Beetz, Ozzy, Brother as you take your place, too early, among the ancestors that have gone before us. We can’t believe you’re really gone, and pray that somehow you stay with us through the rest of our journeys.
Cremation has taken place. A drive through visitation at the Fallsview Hose Brigade will take place at a later date.
