FOLLETT, RICHARD (Dick)
1942-2021
It is with sadness that we announce the death of Richard Follett January 4, 2021 due to complications
from Parkinson’s disease. He is survived by his wife Maureen of Ottawa, sons Tom and James and
grandchildren Georgina, Charlie and Abby all of Australia. Dick is also survived by a brother, Wayne
of Vancouver and sister Denise of Arizona.
Richard was born in Toronto and raised in Montreal. He graduated from the McGill School of
Architecture, with the first in design award. He had a long and varied career. He was an avid sailor,
windsurfer, and cross-country skier. Dick was stricken with Parkinson’s disease in 2012, after which his
life was diminished.
Cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial celebration in the summer. Donations can be
made to the Parkinson & #39;s Society.
