Dick was born in Innisfree, Alberta on June 27, 1936. He was the 5th child of a family of 10. His family moved to BC when he was 10 years old, and he grew up on a farm outside of Vancouver. Dick and his 1st wife had 3 children. (Greg, Brad, and Carolyn.) Later on in life he married his second wife, Jean, and welcomed 4 more children into his life. (Bill, Rick, Mike and Alyson.) Together Dick and Jean had a beautiful life with all of their children. Later on the grandchildren came, then the great grandchildren, too many to name. As the years went by, Dick’s health began to fail, but his wife looked after him until the end when he got sick and had to go to the hospital. He was a wonderful man with a heart of gold.
“We will keep you in our hearts forever. You were the best husband, father, grandpa, and great grandpa. Rest in peace Sweetheart. You will be loved forever.” Love, your wife, Jean, and all of your family.

I thank you for the love each have shown,

So bless the memories within your heart.

So if you need me, call and I will come.

And then, when you must come this way alone,
I’ll greet you with a smile and say, “Welcome home.”
