Reverend Cornelis Bronsveld Sunday December 5th 2021 avis de deces

Reverend Cornelis Bronsveld
Cornelis Bronsveld, was born in Scheveningen, on January 10, 1930. Losing his father at a very early age, he was compelled to leave his home at 11 years old, and train as a pastry baker, to help support his mother and sisters, but he still always had a desire to train for the ministry, which was also dear to the hearts of his
parents. Cornelis met Hendrika Beekhuizen, and they were married on August 26, 1953. He immigrated to Canada with his wife and two sons in 1961. He moved to the Toronto area with his family in 1965 in order to study part-time to train for the ministry. During this period in his life he was also active in the church, as an elder
and a Catechism teacher, while raising a family of six children. In the spring of 1980, God called him to serve as a minister of the Word and Sacrament to the Listowel Orthodox Christian Reformed Church congregation following his ordination, where he served until he retired in 1995, although he continued to provide pulpit supply until his health no longer permitted him to do so. God called Hendrika home to Himself in January 1996. Cornelis continued to preach where he was needed and spend time with his grown children and their families,
encouraging them to walk in the ways of the Lord, while living a life of faith in Christ.
God provided companionship for him again after many years as a widower, when he
married Dicky VanNoort (nee Langhout) on December 27, 2002. He would spend the last 13 years of his life confined to a wheelchair and totally bedridden for the last 4 months, but his faith did not waiver. The Lord still used him as a strong witness to those who saw him or talked to him on phone visits. His daily joy was
the loving faithfulness of his heavenly Father. He continued to be an example of trust in God to his children and grandchildren until the very end of this life. He will be greatly missed!
He was predeceased by his first wife, Hendrika Bronsveld, his sisters, Gré deBruin, and Johanna Bronsveld, and grandson Jakob Bronsveld. Survived by: his wife, Dicky Bronsveld and children: Rudy and Henrietta Bronsveld, and their 5 children Robert and Elizabeth Bronsveld, and their 12 children John and Marion Bronsveld, and their 4 children Yolanda Bronsveld Elsie and Henry Nymann, and their 9 children Eric and Melinda Bronsveld, and their 2 children. Spouses of married grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at the Grace Canadian Reformed Church, 10301 Creditview Rd. Brampton on Saturday December 11th, 2021 at 10:00 am – livestream available for viewing service at gracealone.ca/livestream, Private family interment to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Orangeville.
