Phyllis was born on May 4, 1951 to David & Mildred Jaques in Preeceville, SK. She attended Veteran’s School, then on to Endeavour School until grade 8 & finished her high school in Sturgis, SK. She went on to take a hair dressing course in Regina, SK. On September 15, 1973, Phyllis married Stanley Kreutzer of Reserve, SK & lived in Regina where their daughter Connie was born. After Connie was born, Phyllis ended up becoming a “domestic engineer” and kept hair dressing on the side. When Connie was almost a year, they moved to Govan, SK where Stan ran his own tire business. Their two sons, Christopher and Wade were born while living in Govan. Eventually they moved to Estevan, SK and then on to Moose Jaw, SK. A few years later, Stan got an opportunity to co-own a tire business in Rosthern, SK. They stayed there for about 6yrs and then decided to retire back in Moose Jaw.
Phyllis enjoyed growing a garden, planting flowers and canning fruit that they got from their fruit trees. She always had an abundance of preserves on hand along with lots of homemade baked goodies for family and friends to enjoy. During the winter months, she would look for sewing projects, crafts to do, crossword puzzles or reading books. She looked forward to time spent with family, wherever that would take her. She liked getting back to nature & camping in the summertime.
Both Phyllis & Stan attended Victory Church every Sunday, after having breakfast at Smitty’s Restaurant in the Town ‘n Country Mall, until the Covid restrictions took effect.
Phyllis is survived by her loving husband, Stan, her daughter Connie (Kam), son Christopher (Trisha), son Wade (Ashley) grandchildren Micayla (Kevin), Myles, Kelsey (Kam’s son), Koralyn (Harmeet), Jessica, Aydrik & Jonas. Also her brothers, Wilf (Maybelle) Jaques & Edgar (Gale) Jaques of Endeavour, SK and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, brother and sister in laws. She was predeceased by her parents David & Mildred Jaques and sister Janice Jaques of Preeceville, SK.
Thank you to all the healthcare staff at the Regina General Hospital. Special thanks to Dr. Sy and Dr. Rao and the many nurses who helped Phyllis as much as they could. To the numerous friends, colleagues and family, Thank You for all your support, prayers and well wishes.
