Obituary for
Peter Skelly
It is with great sadness we announce Peter Skelly, beloved husband of Susan Skelly (nee Goshko), passed away on September 20, 2021 at the age of 84 years.
Survived by his children, Pat and Audrey; grandchildren, Scott, Kimberly, Shawn and Kelly and great friend to Tom and Dorothy Graham and Del Seguin and his family.
Predeceased by bothers, William Skelly, John Skelly, James Skelly, Thomas Skelly, Allan Wilson, Alexander “Alec” Skully; sister, Margaret Dolan.
Peter worked in the Alberta Oil and Gas Industry for 20 years. He also worked as a bus driver for Edmonton Public Transit, retiring in March 1998 after 18 years of exemplary service.
Peter had a passion for fishing, where company was always welcome (best fishing buddy ever was Tom Graham!). Peter loved tinkering in his garden where his pride and joy were his grapes. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Peter was a good honest man and gentle soul, who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Salem Manor in Leduc for their kind and compassionate care.
Funeral Service to be held Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Park Memorial, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton, AB. Interment in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
