Peter’s Obituary
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Peter Ingram announce his peaceful passing just after the midnight hours at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL with his loving family by his side on Friday, September 24th, 2021 at the age of 79 years. Born in Margaree, NL, Peter was the son of the late John and Susan Ingram (nee Savoury). He was also predeceased by his brothers; Fred Ingram, Lorne Ingram, father and mother-in-law; Walter and Elsie LeFrense and brother-in-law; Walter LeFrense.
Peter leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories his loving wife of 57 years Elsie Ingram (nee LeFrense). He will forever remain in the hearts of his children; Arlene (Clifford) Lillington of Margaree, NL, Carolann (Wade) Keough of Fox Roost, NL, Kyrstal (Jamie) Cousins of Margaree, NL, grandchildren; Colby (Courtney) of Corner Brook, NL, Chad (Amy) of Lloydminster, AB, Ethan of Prince Edward Island, great-grandson; Scott; brothers; William (Dorothy) Ingram of Margaree, NL, Albert (Linda) Ingram of Ottawa, ON, brother-in-law; Ralph (Shelia) LeFrense of Halifax, NS, sisters-in-law; Pauline (Earl) Billard, Katie (Joshua) Skinner both of Isle aux Morts, NL, Marion (Clarence) Meade of Halifax, NS. Peter will also remains in the hearts of special hunting buddy Earl, special friends; John and Sharon, Reg, Duncan and Pam, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Peter was a very avid outdoors person who loved spending time hunting, enjoying his cabin, berry picking, and being a member of the Margaree Volunteer Fire Department. Peter owned his own boat and was the skipper of the Lorna B, and was very active member with the St. Augustine’s Anglican Church in Margaree. His final words were very truly spoken “My Work Is Done And I’m Going Home”
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 25th from 7-9 pm continuing on Sunday, September 26th and Monday, September 27th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the St. Augustine’s Anglican Church in Margaree, NL from where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 28th at 2 pm officiated by Rev. Duncan Granter assisted by Deacon John Billard. In keeping with Peter’s wishes, cremation will follow. Interment to follow at a later date. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations in Peter’s memory can be made to the St. Augustine’s Anglican Church in Margaree.
