Obituary of Pearl Annie Lane
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Pearl Annie Evelyn Lane.
Pearl Annie Evelyn Lane was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She passed away peacefully at Central Newfoundland Reginal Health Centre on Oct. 17, 2021. She was 83 years of age.
Pearl was born in Botwood, NL on Nov. 3, 1937 to loving parents Amy and George Cramm. She married the love of her life, George Lane on Sept. 25, 1957. Together they had 5 beautiful children whom they raised with much love and devotion.
Pearl adored her family and cherished every moment she spent with them. Her home was always known as the gathering place and her family and friends looked forward to her home cooked meals and baked goods, especially her mac and cheese and nut cake. No one could make it quite like mom/nan. Her beautiful smile and happy demeanor would light up a room as soon as she entered. Her quiet sense of humor was well known to those close to her. She loved to laugh and knew how to enjoy life. She made the most of every situation.
Pearl loved God and served him wholeheartedly. Her life was a true example of steadfast love and commitment. Her favourite verse was Proverbs 31:25
Predeceased by her mother Amy Cramm, father George Cramm, mother-in-law Ginette Lane and father-in-law Andrew Lane.
Left to mourn is her husband George Lane; sons, John (Tonia) Lane, and Kirk Lane; daughters Sharon, Bev (Jerry) Dean and Kim (Elmo) Hibbs. Also left to mourn are sisters; Miriam Milley, Joan (Don) Decker, and brother George (Joan) Cramm. Pearl also leaves to mourn 11 cherished grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Her loving heart left a beacon of light for all who knew her and she will be greatly missed.
A private family burial will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2021.
The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at the Central Regional Health Care Centre for their kindness and devotion during this challenging time.
