Obituary for
Pawliw Donna May
January 27, 1959 – December 13, 2021
It is with deepest sadness that we say goodbye to our beloved Donna, cherished daughter, sister, niece and aunt. Donna passed away peacefully into the arms of God.
She will be forever remembered and greatly missed by her loving mother, Jenny; devoted sisters, Teresa and Tina (Marv); aunt, Helene; niece, Melissa (Sammy); great-niece, Penelope; as well as numerous relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her father, Harry; grandparents, Peter and Mary Olejnik, Nick and Justyna Pawliw.
Donna was devoted to her faith, family and friends. She was our shining light and bright star. Donna touched the lives of many as she was such an extraordinary person. Her strength, wisdom and guidance were a blessing to us all! May her brightness always continue to shine from above.
The family wishes to express heartfelt thanks to the Cross Cancer Institute and the Grey Nuns Unit 43, Palliative Care, for their care and compassion.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, 210 Haddow Close NW Edmonton, AB on December 30, 2021 at 12 p.m. Father Mitch Fidyka officiating.
Due to Covid restrictions, the funeral Mass will be by invitation only.
Interment will be at Holy Cross Mausoleum, 14611 Mark Messier Trail, Edmonton, AB.
In lieu of floral tributes, donations are gratefully accepted in Donna’s name to The Edmonton Humane Society and The Paralympic Sports Association.
