MARTEN, Paul Gilbert – January 9th, 1962 – May 1st, 2021- It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Paul, as the result of an accident. Paul was born in Northampton, U.K and, after a happy childhood in Canada and Kenya, he had a rewarding career with the Canadian Armed Forces. Paul was predeceased by his father Peter (2002) and his brother Julian (2016). He leaves behind his beloved and cherished wife Dorte Tau, his mother Lesley, his twin brother Philip and his sister Jane. Sadly missed by his nieces Alexandra, Sofia, Juliana, Veronica and his Tante Sue. He will also be terribly missed by his cousin Jenny in the Netherlands and his many friends, especially Bo and Freya in Denmark, Lindsay and Velma in Petawawa. Paul was always ready to help others. He lived his life well and he will be forever in our thoughts. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the County of Renfrew Paramedic Services and the Pembroke Regional Hospital for their valiant attempts to save Paul.
