Paul was born in Upper Blackville son of the late Allan and Winnifred Arbeau.
Paul lived in Upper Blackville his whole life and spent most of his time outside. He worked in the woods as a chainsaw operator for Byron and BJ Connors for 50 years and was a fishing guide on the Miramichi river for many years. He had a work ethic like no other and was well known for this. He loved playing hockey in his youth and working with his tractor later in life.
He is survived by his wife and love of his life for 54 years, Karen Arbeau. They were inseparable and loved walking, fishing, volunteering at the food bank and resource centre, watching the sunrise over the water at their new house, watching sports (especially the Toronto Maple Leaf’s) and tormenting each other.
Paul is also survived by his daughter Laurie (Jeff) and son Ryan (Sarah): Brothers, Marshall (Debbie), Lyman (Sharon), Delbert (Bernice); Sisters Debbie Green (Ed), Barb. He was predeceased by his brother Arnold (Mary), sisters Donna (Tom), and Wanda as well as his son Wesley who died prior to childbirth. He was a beloved Poppy to grandchildren Megan, Dakota, Morgan, and Nicolas.
Private family visitation only to take place at Davidson’s Funeral Home 597 Old King George Highway on Tuesday, October 12th from 2-4pm.
Outdoor Funeral Service will be held at the Upper Blackville Baptist Cemetery on Wednesday, October 13th at 2pm.
Despite the ceremony being outdoors, the family asks you wear a mask and we ask you respect social distancing rules.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Upper Blackville Baptist Church.
