Patricia « Patti »‘s Obituary
COOLE, Patricia “Patti” (Pattey) – It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Patti at Roseway Hospital in Shelburne NS on Friday August 20, 2021, at 65 Years of age. A dear wife, a wonderful mother and a great sister, and a faithful friend Patti was someone who touched every life she met.
Her positive attitude and gift of hospitality were qualities that marked her life.
Born in North Sydney on October 27, 1955, Patti was the daughter of William (Bill) and Effie (Bobbitt) Patey.
At the early age of 8 years, she came to know Jesus as her personal Lord and Saviour and served Him with excellence all the days of her life.
Patti is survived by her husband of 39 years, Pastor Ron, her daughter Ramona (Halifax). Brothers; Norman (Susan) Thunder Bay, Ontario and Bill (Shirley), NorthSydney, Mike (Dianne), Dryden, Ontario, Tom (Judy),North Sydney. Sister, Faye Patey, Bridgewater, Brother-in-law, Gary Richards, North Sydney. Sister-in-Law Harriet Patey, Ontario. She is also survived by Ron’s siblings and their families and many nieces, nephews and friends. She is also survived by her granddaughter by choice, Shyla Williams of Saint John, New Brunswick.
Besides her parents and Aunt Sylvia she has been predeceased by Her brother, Bob and her sisters; Mona Richards and Debbie Patey.
Patti was a credential holder with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada and a member of Harbour Light Pentecostal Church in East Green Harbour. She enjoyed taking part in Church ministry alongside her husband Ron. She was very involved in Women’s Ministry in her local church and in the Maritime District of the PAOC. She was a pastor’s wife extraordinaire serving every church with excellence and a spirit of hospitality.
Her life was so blessed to have Ron by her side during her illness and health issues. She was blessed to be a mother to Ramona whom she talked with almost every day of her life and loved her 10-85-11. She felt honored to be Shyla’s 3rd grandmother by choice.
Patti was thankful for all the wonderful friends God blessed her with. You know who you are. She felt honored and blessed with all the excellent care she received from her VON nurses. A special thank you is given out to Dr. Reggie and Debbie Sebastian (Sydney) who gave her excellent care in recent years. Also special thanks to NP Deanna Hickey for her excellent care in the last few months. Special thanks to Dr. Keeler and nursing staff of Roseway Hospital. Also a special thank you to Kim Lombard from Physio who gave her special care in the last 3 years.
In Lieu of flowers donations can be made in Patti’s memory to Harbour Light Pentecostal Church (harbourlightpentecostal@gmail.com) East Green Harbour or VON Shelburne County.
Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Lockeport. Visitations will be held at Harbour Light Pentecostal Church, Wednesday August 25th from 7-9 PM, and Thursday August 26th from 2-4 PM and 6-9 PM. Funeral will be held on Friday August 27th at 2:00 pm from Lockeport Pentecostal Church on Hall Street, Lockeport with Rev. Kevin Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Harbour Light Pentecostal Cemetery, East Green Harbour, N.S.
