Olive’s Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Olive Hibbs announces her passing at the Dr. Hugh Twomey Centre, Botwood, NL aged 82 years.
Olive leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband, Arthur; children, Gladys (Dave) Seymour, Katie (Bill) Earle, Madeline (Roland) Blake, Barbara (Ray) Hibbs, Dianne (Calvin) Hibbs, Betty Keats, Guy (Bernice) Hibbs, Wanda (Bob) Pope, Elaine (Anthony) Saunders, Christanne (Richard) Hibbs, Leroy (Doreen) Hibbs, Morris (Nadine) Hibbs; 37 grandchildren; 78 great-chrildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Pauline (Barry) Knight, Berlynn Hynes, Enda Sheppard; brother, Henry (Lossie) Seymour; plus a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends.
Olive is predeceased by her parents, Esau & Effie Seymour; father & mother-in-law, Silas & Levina Hibbs; granddaughters, Melissa Saunders, Natasha Hibbs; grandsons, Gavin Hibbs, Oliver Saunders; great-grandson, Ethan Penney; brothers, Edgar Seymour, Milton Seymour; sisters, Ann Snow, Evelyn Hutchings; & son-in-law, Lorne Keats.
Olive was enrolled as a senior soldier April 22, 1973 of the Peterview Corps. She was dedicated to her church by faithfully attending, being a member of the Home League, bible study, girl guide leader for 10 years, she became a Sunday school teacher on May 26, 1982, she was a member of the swinging seniors, and was a part of the songers.
Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, the visitation and funeral service will remain private to the immediate family and invited guests.
As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the family.
