Norma’s Obituary
Norma Joan White-Davies, resident of Grimshaw (AB) passed away November 7, 2021, at the age of 69 years. Norma was born May 28, 1952 at Barrhead (AB). She was the only girl of six children. As a young lady, Norma graduated from Barrhead High School and went on to Marvel College with a trade certificate in hairdressing.
Norma moved to Grimshaw in 1972 to be with family. Later on she moved to Hanna (AB), where she had Geneva in 1983. In 1984, Norma made her way back to Grimshaw, where she stayed until present. On April 18, 2000, Norma married Harry Davies. Norma worked in the Berwyn Hotel and league bowled every Wednesday. In Geneva’s earlier years, Norma started working in the Grimshaw Hotel, until she retired. In retirement, She would occasionally work days for the local restaurants; she became very well known.
Norma was pre-deceased by her husband Harry Davies; her parents June and Everett White; and, her brothers Marvin White and Dale White. Norma is survived by her daughter Geneva (Jason); her bonus children form Harry: Ian, Melissa & Keri; her brothers Larry (Barb) White, Bill (Dawn) White, Neil (Marie) White; and, numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Gateway Victory Church, in Grimshaw. Due to restrictions, in-person attendance is by invitation only.
Interment to follow, at Brownvale Cemetery.
