Peacefully at the Colville Manor, Souris on Thursday, August 26, 2021, Norma Elaine MacKenzie (nee Garrett) passed away surrounded by family and much love. She was aged 81 years of Fortune, PE. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 62 years Harold MacKenzie and will be forever loved by her daughters Trudy, Tracy (Rodger Evans) and Tammy MacKenzie (Greg Antuchiewicz).
Norma was a caring and dear Nan to Delsie and Kyler Burke and great grandmother to Eva Martin. Also to mourn her loss are siblings Ethan Garrett, Rowena MacKinnon, Marilyn Sider (Larry) and Revell Garrett. In additions, she is survived by her extended family and numerous friends. Predeceased by her parents Foster and Muriel Garrett and brother Vernon Garrett. The family would like to acknowledge the exceptional care given to Norma by the staff of Souris Community Care, the Souris Hospital and the Colville manor in the laters years of her life. Their compassion and kindness will never be forgotten.
A visitation and funeral service for family will take place at the Bay Fortune United Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Due to public health guidelines, all services are by invitation only. If so desired, donations in memory of Norma can be made to the Eastern Kings Health Foundation (Colville Manor).
