NOBLE, Ross
1948 – 2021
With great sadness we announce the passing of Ross Noble, devoted husband, loving father& grandfather and considered a man with a heart of gold, by all who knew him. Ross went peacefully in his home of 14 years in Cochrane, AB on Monday August 23, 2021, in the arms of his devoted wife Lynn, of 53 years, whom he adored. Ross also leaves behind two daughters, Shannon (Jason) Shenher and Shauna Noble, grandchildren Samuel Noble and Ava, Lilly & Zachary Shenher, two brothers Jerry and Claude Noble and a sister Lori Noble. Ross also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, relatives and all the lives he touched as friends.
Ross also leaves behind his “therapy” dog Jack. Jack is his grandkids pet, which has been on loan to Grandpa, off and on, for the past 2 years. Jack has been a great comfort to Ross and was beside his best friend until the bitter end. Ross loved his past four-legged friends, Muffin & Oliver, but Jack was a very special friend. Jack just knew when he was needed and helped keep Ross positive.
Ross was a fighter throughout his life, he had a strong will to live and did not let all his ailments ever get the better of him. His attitude was always positive and that kept him with us longer than anyone would have predicted. He was a “medical marvel” in the words of his doctors.
Ross worked extremely hard as the owner of Anderson House of Orthopedics in Winnipeg, MB. for 20 years. He had a very full life doing the things he loved most, building and working on homes and cottages, working in his garage on cars, building model boats in his workshop, attending car shows all over North America and boating on the Lake of the Woods in Ontario. Wherever he went and whatever he did, he made amazing friends along the way. Ross had an infectious way of making lifetime friends and his spirit will live on in them all forever.
A special thank you to the truly amazing doctors and nurses at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary, AB. Ross always said that without this facility, he would not have lasted 16 years with his condition. He always made sure that everyone who set foot in his hospital room knew how much they were appreciated…even the person who delivered the slop they called food or the cleaning personal who picked up the garbage, he made certain every person was thanked for their efforts. A special mention to Nurses Sandra Dorey and Tracy French and Dr. M Slawnych in the Cardiac Department, as well as family doctor, Dr. O David. These professionals were not only the health care providers to Ross, but they also became good friends.
Honoring his wishes there will be no funeral. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Humane Society.
Ross is off to his “Summer Place”, ‘til we meet again.
