ZALESCHUK, Nettie
September 17, 1923 – January 9, 2021
Nettie was born in Innisfree, Alberta where she lived until her marriage to her husband Nick Zaleschuk of Plain Lake. She passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021, in Vegreville, Alberta at the age of 97 years.
Nettie is survived by her loving family, her children Sonia Tatarin, Marie (Ken) Yakimowich, Don (Debbra) Zaleschuk, Irene (Jerry) Palsatt and Joanne (Murray) Huculak; son-in-law Bill Kotowich; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Nettie was predeceased by her husband Nick; daughter Patricia Kotowich; grandson Joe Tatarin; parents Alex and Maria Dulaba; 3 sisters Anne Rogalsky, Pauline Waskowich and Nadie Babij.
A private Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church with the Basilian Fathers officiating. Interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the “Vegreville Homestead Lodge c/o 5253 – 46 Ave, Vegreville, AB T9C 1P9” or to the “Holy Trinity Parish c/o 5705 – 51 St, Vegreville, AB T9C 1H8”.
